Employee of the Month

Ross is a Senior Programmer Analyst within the Mobile/Web Systems department. He has a deep understanding of modern technologies, frameworks, and practices and is easily able to design, scale, and build solutions that meet the business goals of the campus partners we work with. As a functional/team lead, Ross is often responsible for solving complex challenges that require a more creative approach. He is able to quickly identify issues, analyze options, and make decisions that balance our customer's short-term needs with the team's long-term security, accessibility, performance, scalability, and maintenance goals.

Most recently, Ross developed a middleware solution to move Dynamic Forms form data to the Banner Document Management System, replacing an older middleware solution that was unable to meet customer needs. Within two short months, he helped collect requirements from several back offices and built a solution that aligned with and standardized the mapping processes. According to project stakeholders, his effort "significantly reduced the amount of work effort needed" in the tuition assistance area within Student Business Services, which is already short-handed, and allowed the University Registrar to make "quick work" of correcting form mapping failures, while delivering a solution that is viewed as an absolute "game changer" for Undergraduate Admissions during peak form processing times. 

Ross's technical expertise, leadership, and collegiality make him an invaluable asset to our department. We are fortunate to have him in our team and look forward to his future contributions and success. Congratulations, Ross!
